THEODOSIA A.G. TAMBORLANE
Theodosia A.G. Tamborlane of Dunedin, Florida is an abstract artist and illustrator. Her paintings use dynamic colors and combine gestural movements with geometric lines and forms in a deliberate yet free spirited process. She creates series paintings with particular themes. Since 2008 her works have been in over 150 solo and group exhibitions in New York City, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida. She has been awarded three First Prizes, featured in Still Point Magazine, the Manhattan International Online Art Gallery, and has lectured frequently. Her paintings are in private and public collections in the United States, Japan and the Netherlands. She has 110 paintings placed in seven New Jersey Hospital Foundations and 13 in University and Private Foundations. Her 2014 New York City Partners International Exhibit “Ideas in Abstraction 2008-2013” was comprised of 85 paintings from 10 differing series. Johnson and Johnson World Headquarters 2015 solo show presented “Five Seasons.” In 2016 her “City Scapes” series was first shown and her “Cast Shadows” series was shown in 2017. In 2018 she returned to Johnson and Johnson for a solo show and to ART EXPO New York City. In 2019 Theo’s paintings have been selected for national distribution by Blink Art Magazine, a guide for collector’s and design professionals.
She studied at the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She is on the Board of Directors of the Florida Professional Association of Visual Arts and is a member of the Gulf Coast Artists’ Alliance, Dunedin Fine Art Center in Dunedin Florida, the New Jersey Contemporary Art Group and the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey. She holds an Associate of Fine Arts Degree from Union County College, Cranford, NJ., a BA from Drew University, Madison NJ., MPA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford NJ., and a JD Seton Hall Law School, Newark NJ.
